Book Talks by Audrey Friedman Marcus

In the last year or so, Audrey Friedman Marcus has given many presentations in Denver and around the country about Survival in Shanghai: The Journals of Fred Marcus 1939-49 and about the 20,000 Jews who found refuge from the Nazis in Shanghai. Venues for the talks have included bookstores, synagogues, museums, organizations, book clubs, havurot, and TV.

Depending on your preference, Audrey can show a power point presentation that begins with Fred’s life in Berlin and continues with his arrival in Shanghai and his refugee years, or she can offer, along with the talk, an 8-minute clip from Fred’s testimony for the Shoah Foundation. If neither of these options seem appropriate, Audrey can simply talk. In any case, she always allows time for questions afterward.
